What would this poor village woman have done without you? Just what? Now try to paint this picture in your head: To have a disease condition in which you had to undergo three operations and after the second, you had to walk with a bag to pour faeces that should have normally come out of your anus. Somehow, you have to always be conscious of the fact that you pass them from an opening in your abdomen. The psychological trauma. To not being able to source for money to offset your hospital bills. To have escaped, by the whiskers, herds men attack in your village that claimed the lives of many. To lose your husband a most brutal way imaginable few days to your surgery. To have sold everything you had, a week before your travail, to pay for the treatment of your father who died anyway. To have a 7 month old who literally breastfed even when you were just few days post surgery. To beg for food, be used as a prayer point in churches to source for money for your bills. To always think you have been rejected by the world. Only to look at yourself, 7 days after your operation and are able to pass stool through your anus in the toilet again after 4 months! Our joy knows no bound but we may still have to spend time in the hospital if we are unble to pay up the hospital bills. We are hopeful. We are thankful. We believe in humanity once again. Men, social media and our partners, how do we thank you enough for giving this lady, her son and mother another go at life?! We are not including her current bills to the one we working hard to offset because that would be another mountain entirely to climb. We need an extra 94k to make up the initial 300k owed the facility. Account is still Zenithbank 2086330082 Arome Okeme. Thank you.
