The FRSCN brought in this woman who suffered a fracture of the distal third of the Right tibia and fibula and a laceration of the Achilles tendon from a road traffic accident.
She didn't lose consciousness, driver was said to moving at about 120km/hr, she wasn't putting on a safety belt, was sitting at the middle of the back seat. She didn't bleed from the orifices in the head.
She was in severe pains and the Right foot was internally rotated. We were able to catch the tendon, reduce the unstable fracture with bits and pieces within after irrigating with saline and referred to a tertiary facility for better care. Everyone deserves good health.
