She looked beautiful and graciously endowed. My doctor had earlier evacuated her womb two days before I arrived the facility on account of retain products of conception.
She had presented with severe abdominal pain, fever and fast breathing that preliminary investigations revealed incomplete miscarriage. She gave a false history of having had a spontaneous miscarriage at 16weeks, 3 days prior presentation.

Today feels beautiful and innocent. What better way to start the day than to have Faith (Bangeskiya) prime the mood by visiting the clinic yesterday.
This young new mother complained of pain and swelling in the right breast that started 1 month after initiating breastfeeding.
In this rural area, we haven't had power for over 2 months and counting now, little wonder the video is dark. Bear with us.
Valentine came early for me when Bangeskiya(Faith) our miracle baby girl visited us in the clinic yesterday, saturday, it was a beautiful moment.
I appreciate @eleojo_agbadi, a class mate, for getting in touch via inbox to discuss the most current resuscitation method for pediatric. She is a senior registrar in pediatric department in Abuja, almost a specialist now.
We at the Rural doctor for now will not be able to climb the career ladder via residency until we decide to leave here. The issue now is, when we leave, it is one doctor short in an already protractedly deficit state.
1am. 17/1/2021
I had just finished repairing the bleeding from the left chest of a young man stabbed in the chest by herdsmen who had made an attempt to kidnap him and his colleague, a lady, from their shop earlier on. I was far spent.
If you have been following the RDI before Christmas last year you would have found the story of a woman who had 7 pregnancies and only succeeded in birthing 1 alive. The last pregnancy came with complications and we almost lost the baby. It took another tedious 3 weeks to revive and manage the baby to life.
Today she is 5weeks old and they came for their routine clinic check.
So yesterday the little facility serving mostly the rural poor applauded the tenacity of the kefas.
Mrs kefas is the mother of Bangeskiya whom she delivered via CS and we almost lost both mother and child. Bangeskiya's mother has had 7 pregnancies so far, here is the history of the pregnancies:
1st was a fresh stillbirth, male 2nd the same thing, male 3rd escaped by the whiskers, female. 4th another fresh stillbirth, male 5th yet another fresh stillbirth, male 6th died few hours after delivery, male 7th, this one, came out unresponsive but God, through a better health system, kept her. |
